How Early Treatment Works

Laying the Foundation
After your child’s first visit, Dr. Henao might suggest starting early treatment (Phase 1). This typically takes about eight to 12 months and focuses on guiding your child’s jaw and facial development, laying the groundwork for a balanced smile.
After Phase 1, regular check-ups will continue as new teeth come in. This helps us decide if a second phase of treatment is needed.
Precision With Phase 2
Phase 2 usually happens around ages 11–14, once most permanent teeth have come in.
If your child needs extra help to achieve a perfect smile, Dr. Henao will create another personalized treatment plan to make sure every tooth is right where it belongs.
